Module Carriers and Custom Baseboards
As the developer of the COM standard, Kontron is the world leader in COM and COMe modules, the high frequency of the design is provided as a plug-in module know as a Computer on Module (COM).
This allows the customer to deploy their own IP in the form of a base board terminating only the required IO or deployment of proprietary IP.
Reference platform are available to assist the development of the COMe baseboard in several formats:- type 6, type 7 and type 10 pin outs, these formats are part of the PICMG standards for integration conformity to a standard originally devised and formalised by Kontron AG.
Evaluation Boards and Reference Carrier
Evaluation Boards minimize installation requirements and reduce dramatically design time. They help to control and cut-back pre-market costs. Evaluation boards are recommended for testing in every design-in.
Development of the base board may be done in house with Kontron providing design guides and reference platforms or through one of our approved design teams.
Kontron Australia has many years of experience in having a custom base board made to the customers specification and deployed as local or overseas production.
COMe options include but are not limited to the COMe Eval Carrier2 T6, COMe Eval Carrier T7 Gen2, COMe Eval Carrier T7, COMe Eval Carrier2 T10, COMe Ref.Carrier-i T10 TNIx.
